Qigong & Meditation

Qigong - Individual Sessions & Classes:

These integrative somatic healing sessions involve qigong movements, meditation, energy work, and guided imagery. The sessions can be done individually or in a group.

 

Often qigong and meditation are integrated into other sessions, such as psychotherapy or Somatic Experiencing®.

Christine has received training in Mindful Self-Compassion and can offer these practices as part of individual sessions or group classes. 

Christine is trained in the following styles of tai chi and qigong:

  • Tai Chi Easy

  • Holden Qigong™

Currently due to COVID precautions, the sessions are offered virtually 1:1 at this time. They will resume in person and in groups when precautions are no longer needed.

Inner Balance Qigong™

Inner Balance Qigong™ is the signature class that Christine developed by integrating gentle movements that are based in Eastern traditions such as tai chi and qigong, with a focus on breath, meditation and energy balancing. She has a soft style of teaching that is easy to follow, even if it is your first time.

 

This 75 minute class starts with a gentle warm-up for 15 minutes to bring awareness to your breath and to the present moment. Then you are guided through seven specific energy balancing movements which are connected to the chakra system that are paced with your own breathing pattern. The class ends with a 15 minute guided meditation and personal reflection, allowing one to focus more deeply on breathing and the emotional integration of the movements.

 

The class is done standing, and if needed sitting in a chair. The most benefits are received from regular practice and by learning to integrate parts of the class into your daily life routine. The goal is to increase the energy in your body, while balancing your mind, emotions and spirit.

 

The class is enjoyable for all levels of practitioners and for all physical abilities. No experience necessary. This class is easy to follow if you are coming for the first time.
